Madi & Austin

This engagement has been a long time coming and I have been patiently waiting for it to happen. Madi is my pledge class sorority sister who is also from Texas, a huge reason we clicked. Another was that we were both in long term relationships that at different points have been long distance. So many reasons for us to get a long and be able to talk for hours on end.

When I finally recieved a text from Madi asking about engagement photos, I nearly cried! Their engagement story is pretty comical hearing it come from them going back and forth but I will do my best to explain... First doozie was that Madi was a camp counselor all summer alongside her twin sister, Macy who was not informed of the day they were getting engaged until after it happened but it was all so that Madi would not find out! Ha, poor Austin... The entire time Madi had been telling Austin stories about camp and complaining about little things that happened, as we girls do, but of course Austin was just focused on the day while Madi had no idea going on and on.

There had been signs alongside the Dallas bridge that Madi never even noticed as she told story after story so Austin decided to veer her around and take a second round by the bridge. Madi slowly started to realize what was happening and then noticed Austin getting down and she threw her 'cheap' sunglasses off of her face and said "yes!" to her sweet future hubby.

Madi has been nothing but encouraging of my photography career, posing for me when I had projects due the very next day. So, I was very excited to step up and take these photos that mark a new time in their lives.

They traveled down to Houston for the weekend and we spent an entire Saturday afternoon/evening driving around, exploring, and shooting.
